Something appended or added; an
appendage, adjunct, or concomitant.
Normandy became an appendix to England. Any literary matter added to a book, but not
necessarily essential to its completeness, and thus distinguished from
supplement, which is intended to supply deficiencies and correct
inaccuracies.
